Racing to Finish up Painting 3: Postmodern Painting

After the much needed break last week, I am struggling to get back into the swing of things regarding all of my school work. Even though I am taking this painting class for fun, and I enjoy painting for the most part, I am struggling to stay motivated to finish strong on this one. I both do not want to spend time on this yet want to be proud of it at the end so... this is going to be tough. The painting is due on Monday, so I am looking at some long hours in the studio this weekend. I am trying to force myself to make decisions and just go with them to get this finished in time and hoping that the result is something that not only gets me a good grade, but is something I actually want to hang on the wall. 

This week, I got all my base colors on and have started doing detail work. I originally wanted to add flowers on the table, but that might be something I have to add later when I have more time (if that ever happens). I am not really happy with the colors of the album cover right now. I am hoping once the paint dries I can tweak them and get them in a better place. Overall, I have a lot to do and not much time left to do it. Next week I will post the finished product and will hopefully be happier with the painting than I am right now.
