Completed My 1st Oil Painting!

I finally finished my first painting of the semester! Working on the finishing touches was a tedious process, and I still didn't perfect the proportions of all the objects, but overall I am happy with the piece. I don't have much time to enjoy having finished this project before starting the next one though. My next painting will be quite a bit larger (30x40 in) and requires me to build my own canvas. I am fairly petite, so this has been a challenge. Between nailing the stretcher frame together with supports, to stretching the canvas over it with one hand while securing it with a staple gun with the other, I have found this process to be exhausting! I completely understand why prebuilt canvases are so expensive now. Hopefully the rest of the process will be less strenuous.
